Grand jury indicts 5 in alleged multi-county drug trafficking conspiracy

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Five people are now formally charged in an alleged drug trafficking conspiracy.

According to a release by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky, the indictment was returned on Feb. 11, charging all six individuals.

From April 2025 through October 2025, the indictment states 30-year-old Davon Grandberry, 30-year-old Jarru Cavitt, 36-year-old Ashley Huff, 33-year-old O’Shay Everett and 28-year-old Shelby Puckett allegedly possessed “with the intent to distribute” and distributed 500 grams or greater of a methamphetamine mixture and 500 grams or greater of cocaine.

Officials say each defendant was charged with additional crimes allegedly committed in connection with the conspiracy.

Grandberry is charged with distributing a methamphetamine mixture, along with distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Cavitt and Grandberry are charged jointly with distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Cavitt and Everett are charged jointly with possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine.

Cavitt and Huff are charged jointly with possessing with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of cocaine.

Cavitt and Puckett are charged jointly with possessing with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

In total, 50 pounds of methamphetamine, 2 kilograms of cocaine and approximately $20,000 in cash were seized as part of this investigation, according to the release. These alleged crimes took place in Warren, Hart and Butler Counties.

Grandberry, Cavitt, and Huff, have all been arraigned before a U.S. Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Grandberry and Cavitt were detained pending further proceedings. Huff was released on special conditions. Everett and Puckett will make their appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge at a later date.

If convicted, the defendants face a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life.

This case is being investigated by the ATF Bowling Green Field Office and the Bowling Green/Warren County Appalachia High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force.
