Grayson County firefighters save dog from house fire

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – Grayson County first responders saved a dog from a house fire Friday morning.
According to K105, the Leitchfield and Falls of Rough Fire Departments responded to a home on Warren Purcell Spur Road at approximately 9 am to a report of a house fire that started in a stove.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and located a fire within the home.
The firefighters entered the home and battled the blaze.
The home is a total loss.
While firefighters were conducting an overhaul of the home, a firefighter located the homeowner’s dog inside.
Firefighters and paramedics gave oxygen to the dog.
According to K105, the dog is healthy.
