Farmers RECC announces Washington Youth Tour Recipients

GLASGOW, Ky. – Farmers RECC has announced the winners to the 2026 Frankfort and Washington Youth Tour.
The annual “Government in Action” Youth Tour winners will travel to Frankfort to visit the state Capitol in March and will travel to Washington, D.C. Youth Tour in June, the organization says.
According to Farmers RECC, the recipients include:
- Nephthalie Velcine, daughter of Cristophe and Carmelle Velcine and ward of Becky and Philip Baise of Cave City
- Jonathan ‘Gabriel’ Ash, son of Jonathan and Teresa Ash of Bonnieville
- Corinne Keller, daughter of Rose Rovera Saltsman and Pete Saltsman of Edmonton
- Jozie Allen, daughter of John and Tammy Allen of Edmonton
Farmers RECC says Kentucky is among 45 states that send a youth delegation to the tour each year.
Since 1964, national electric cooperatives have organized trips for over 40,000 high school juniors and seniors to see U.S. congressional members, energy and grassroots government education sessions and go sightseeing in Washington, according to the release.
Farmers RECC states it is a not-for-profit electric cooperative, serving more than 27,000 services across 11 Kentucky counties.
