Boogie Down Bourbon Street brings Mardi Gras to Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky – Mardi Gras came to downtown Bowling Green as ‘Boogie Down Bourbon Street’ returned for its annual celebration at La Gala.

The event benefits CASA of South Central Kentucky, an organization that trains and supports volunteer advocates for children in foster care.

Guests enjoyed an evening of live music, bourbon tastings, and both live and silent auctions. Local restaurants also served New Orleans-inspired Cajun cuisine, adding to the festive atmosphere.

While the beads and bourbon brought celebration to the venue, organizers say the event’s mission remains its most important focus.

Proceeds from the event help CASA recruit, train and support volunteers who advocate for children navigating the foster care system in South Central Kentucky.

Organizers called the evening a success, raising both funds and awareness for children in need of support and representation.
