Jailer Stephen Harmon holds re-election campaign kick-off

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –  An event was held Thursday night to kick off Jailer Stephen Harmon’s re-election campaign.

Harmon has been the Warren County Jailer since 2017 and has a 26-year career in law enforcement within Warren County.

The kick-off was held on State Street and saw several elected officials, along with many community members, in attendance to support Harmon at the event.

Harmon is now seeking his third term, and he spoke on how nights like this can help him achieve that goal.

“It’s reassuring to know that after 26 years with Warren County government, through the sheriff’s office and now at the Warren County Jail, that I’ve got the support of other elected officials and people that work in law enforcement and actually in the community to, people that I go to church with, people that I went to school with.

“It’s just reassuring that, my running again for reelection is the right thing to do,”  he added.

Harmon also told News 40 that this is his first re-election campaign to have an opponent, Javan Roberson, and added he plans to use Thursday night’s event and the months before election night to help him run a clean campaign.
