3 adults, 1 juvenile charged with stealing from Bowling Green sporting goods store

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four people are charged following a theft from a local sporting goods store.

The Bowling Green Police Department says four people stole clothing from a sporting goods store in Bowling on Feb. 12, according to a release.

BGPD says officers sent the vehicle’s tag information to state law enforcement agencies, including the Kentucky State Police.

According to the release, KSP located the vehicle on Interstate 65 in Bullitt County and conducted a traffic stop.

Mikel Clark, Kearie Watts and Daniya Webster were arrested. The fourth person is a juvenile who was cited.

KSP troopers say over $2,000 in stolen merchandise was recovered.

Clark, Watts and Webster were charged with receiving stolen property over $1,000 and were lodged at the Bullitt County Detention Center.

While lodged, a warrant was obtained for an additional charge of engaging in organized crime.

The release states that the juvenile will be charged with the same offenses at a later date.

The investigation is ongoing.
