Bowling Green man charged with possessing child sexual abuse materials

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with possession of child sexual abuse materials following an investigation.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department assisted Homeland Security Investigations in executing a search warrant at a residence on Warren Way Monday morning.

Law enforcement says 40-year-old Brandon Shipley of Bowling Green allegedly possessed child sexual abuse materials on electronic devices.

The citation states that the materials were discovered on Shipley’s devices on Jan. 15.

During the investigation, Shipley admitted to possessing child sexual abuse materials, according to the citation.

Law enforcement says the age range of the juveniles depicted in the materials is between 2 and 14.

Shipley was arrested and was lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.

He is charged with possessing a matter of portrayal of sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12.

According to the Warren County Regional Jail website, Shipley’s cash bond is set at $6,001.

The investigation is ongoing.
