Man arrested in Morgantown on sexual abuse charges involving child

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – A wanted Hopkinsville man has been apprehended in Butler County on sexual abuse charges.
According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police arrested 41-year-old Timmie Hooten of Hopkinsville on Dec. 22.
Court records say this follows a warrant of arrest on indictment issued earlier last month.
Hooten faces charges of first-degree sexual abuse, victim under 12 years of age, first-degree attempted sodomy, victim under 12 years of age, and persistent felony offender I.
Hooten remain at the Butler County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
He is scheduled for arraignment on Jan. 13 at 10 a.m., according to court records.
