U.S. 41 closure to continue in Todd County after train derailment

TODD COUNTY, Ky. – A U.S. 41 road closure remains in effect after a train derailed in Todd County on Tuesday.

Transportation officials say the closure has been extended, with the road expected to remain closed until early next week.

The road remains closed between Trenton in Todd County and Pembroke in Christian County.

Drivers should continue to seek alternate routes.

CSX Railroad crews remain on scene while site cleanup continues, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
