Glasgow-based car dealership to offer free, safe rides on New Year’s Eve

GLASGOW, Ky. – A local car dealership is offering a potentially lifesaving service on New Year’s Eve.

For the 16th year, OverDrive Performance Auto Sales in Glasgow says it is offering a free, sober ride to those in need of one in Barren County on New Year’s Eve.

“If for any reason you find yourself without an option, call us! Day or night, no questions asked, no cost, we’ll just give you a ride home,” the company states.

OverDrive encourages drivers to have a sober driver or plan in place as they are celebrating the start of 2026.

“This decision could save your own life or someone you don’t even know,” the company states.

OverDrive says to save the number 270-646-6161 and to call it if you are in need of a safe ride on Dec. 31. This offer is for those in Barren County.
