Glasgow police to provide extra patrol on New Year’s Eve

GLASGOW, Ky. – As 2025 enters your rearview mirror, local police are encouraging drivers to avoid taking actions that may cause emergency lights to show up tonight.

The Glasgow Police Department is reminding drivers to plan a safe, sober ride home from wherever a celebration may take place.

Police also are asking drivers to watch for pedestrians that may be crossing streets.

If you plan on going to a party or into a large crowd, police say to go with trusted friends and to stay together.

On the night of Dec. 31, police say extra units will be available and out patrolling while looking for any suspicious activity.
