Portion of road to close in Barren County due to bridge work

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Drivers in the Barren County area should be aware of a road closure starting on Monday.

According to Glasgow/Barren County Emergency Management, Oil Well Road at Skaggs Creek Bridge will be closed beginning Monday, Jan. 5.

Emergency officials say during this time, a contractor will begin preparation and repairs to the bridge approach.

Emergency management states the duration of this closure is undetermined at this time and is weather dependent. No traffic will be allowed to pass through the closure for safety reasons and to allow materials to fully cure, according to officials.
