Bond set for teacher arrested after alleged sexual conversations with student

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A bond decision has been made for a Louisville teacher arrested earlier this month in connection with alleged sexual conversations with a student.
According to court records, 36-year-old Sydnee Graf of Louisville remains incarcerated on a $100,000 cash bond.
Court records state the bond decision was filed on Dec. 22.
The arrest resulted after authorities say a fifth-grade math teacher, identified as Graf, “engaged in sexual conversations with a fifth-grade student” during a non-traditional workday, also known as an NTI day.
Authorities say Graf made arrangements to try to meet with the child on Monday, Dec. 15.
Graf was apprehended while picking up the child near the child’s home, authorities say.
Authorities say screenshots and video recordings of the conversations show images of the suspect, as well as her name in the top corner.
The victim at the time of this offense was under the age of 12, according to a uniform citation.
Graf faces a charge of procure or promote use of a minor by electronic means.
Graf appeared in court Friday morning for a preliminary hearing. News 40 will provide additional details on this case as they are released.
