Barren County YMCA, Salvation Army distribute Angel Tree presents
GLASGOW, Ky. – Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, the Barren County YMCA and Salvation Army distributed all Angel Tree gifts to members of the community.
Over the two days, the basketball court at the Ralph Bunce Community Center went from full to empty as over 400 Barren County families collected gifts donated via the Angel Tree.
Each child received clothes, shoes, socks, underwear and a toy of their choice, all donated by community members.
This holiday season, all 404 Angels were adopted and received gifts, showing how the Glasgow community is able to rally behind those in need.
“We could not do it without our community partners. Everyone deserves to have a good Christmas,” said Tara Bailey, CEO of the Barren County YMCA. “Every child deserves to wake up on Christmas morning and have gifts under the tree.”
The Salvation Army and Barren County YMCA credited their community partners, schools, churches and others for helping provide these families with gifts for the holidays.
