First of 2 new bike stations installed in downtown Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The first of two new bike repair stations is officially installed in downtown Bowling Green.

According to the city, the first station is located on College Street near the bike lane in front of Spencer’s Coffee.

This station was installed by the city’s Public Works Operations in partnership with BikeWalk BG. City officials say both groups aimed to place the station where riders may need it most.

The station was funded through the greenway budget, officials say, with the station designed to blend seamlessly with the downtown area.

A second station is on the way, according to the city.

That station will be located at Weldon Peete Park in the next weeks to help serve the mountain biking community.
