BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Public Library announced the promotion of a staff member to co-director on Friday.

Laura Beth Fox-Ezell, a staff member at WCPL since 2013, was named co-director, effective August 2025, according to a release.

Fox-Ezell began her career with the library as a student worker. The library says she transformed the Educational Outreach Service into a full-service program provided to the community.

The library says her efforts directly impacted thousands of people in the Warren County community.

Fox-Ezell supports the library’s largest initiatives, including The Capitol Arts Center and SoKY Center.

She is currently under contract to author a book on WCPL’s development and its growing influence in the greater library world.

“Her dedication to innovation, equity, and exceptional service reflects the very best of what a modern public library can be. Coupled with her deep community connections and unwavering commitment to our patrons, she is poised to further strengthen WCPL’s legacy of service, collaboration, and forward-thinking progress. We are delighted to welcome her into this new leadership role,” said WCPL Board of Trustees President Beth Schaeffer.
