First fully approved, licensed medical cannabis dispensary to open in Beaver Dam

BEAVER DAM, Ky. – New developments are underway regarding a medical cannabis dispensary in Kentucky.
During Thursday’s Team Kentucky Update, Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed The Post Dispensary in Ohio County will have a soft opening on Dec. 13. The governor’s office says The Post is the first “fully approved and licensed medical dispensary” in the Commonwealth.
Beshear says the soft opening will take place at 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. Central Standard Time or while supplies last.
“Our priority is ensuring Kentuckians suffering with serious medical conditions can have safe access to medical cannabis, as soon as possible, to get the relief they need,” Beshear said. “We’ll keep sharing more news as it’s available. We made a promise – a promise we kept. And now we’re just days away from the first safe medical cannabis being available in Kentucky for those who need it.”
According to Beshear’s office, the product available was grown by Farmtucky, “the first licensed cultivator to bring product to the market.”
The Post Dispensary is located at 300 N. Main St. in Beaver Dam.
