UPDATE: Man struck, killed on I-65 in Warren County following altercation identified

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man was struck and killed on I-65 following incidents at several Warren County businesses.

The Bowling Green Police Department responded to calls that a man was stumbling and collapsing in front of Doug’s Motor City Bar & Grill located in the 100 block of Cumberland Trace on Tuesday at 2:43 p.m.

BGPD received additional calls that the man was running and walking in traffic on Cumberland Trace.

The man attempted to enter Hardee’s on Cumberland Trace. Employees locked the building down before he could enter.

He continued to Harley-Davidson Bowling Green, where he followed a female into the building, grabbed her and put his hand over her mouth.

The woman was able to escape and Harley-Davidson Bowling Green employees followed the man out of the store.

Employees ran after the man through a field. The man climbed a fence and traveled onto I-65.

The man ran into the pathway of a tractor-trailer and was struck.

First responders performed life-saving measures at the scene.

The man was transported to the Medical Center at Bowling Green, where he was pronounced dead.

The man has been identified as Taryn Mason Brown, 39, of Englewood, Tennessee.
