1 dead, suspect arrested after reported shooting at Kentucky State University

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – One person is dead and another has been arrested after a reported shooting Tuesday at Kentucky State University.

WKYT reports the Frankfort Police Department said it responded to an active aggressor on KSU’s campus at about 3:35 p.m.

Police say one person is dead and another is in the hospital in critical condition.

WKYT says a university official confirmed the shooting happened in the area of south campus.

Frankfort police report the suspect is in custody, but the school is on lockdown until further notice.
