TVA to host ham giveaway for customers

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Tennessee Valley Authority and local utility companies are working together to provide hams to customers for the holiday season.
Locally, Bowling Green Municipal Utilities, Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation and Russellville Electric Plant Board are partnering with the TVA to distribute hams to their respective customers.
According to a release by the TVA, the hams will be distributed to members on the following dates:
- Monday, Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. until noon, or as long as supplies last at the Grayson County Fairgrounds in Leitchfield in partnership with Grayson County Alliance.
- Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at Logan County Good Samaritan at 602 E. Fourth St.
- Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Butler County Road Department in Morgantown in partnership with Morgantown Mission.
- Thursday, Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Salvation Army Bowling Green Corps at 400 W. Main Ave.
Members must present a Warren RECC or a BGMU bill, depending on the giveaway, and an ID with a matching address to receive a ham. Members who live in any county in the Warren RECC or BGMU service territory are eligible, according to the release.
TVA is partnering with eight local power providers in nine Kentucky counties to provide 3,814 hams to families.
