MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. – Mammoth Cave National Park is providing an update on the status of the Green River Ferry’s repairs after the park says prior flooding caused “significant damage.”

According to Mammoth Cave National Park’s social media, repair efforts are still underway.

Park officials say the concrete foundations and cable installations are complete.

In addition, they say the ferry vessel has been inspected, painted and now has a new generator and engine.

However, the ferry’s winch system upgrades and tower installation are still in progress, according to park officials, along with electrical and infrastructure improvements.
