LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – In Louisville Thursday night, the city’s orchestra played a free concert to honor the victims of the UPS plane crash.

The crash occurred earlier this month, when 14 people died as a result of a UPS plane going down shortly after take-off at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. UPS flight 2976 from Louisville was heading to Honolulu with three crewmembers on board, officials say.

Those three victims were pilots.

Previously, Gov. Andy Beshear shared the names of the victims, which include the following:

  • Capt. Dana Diamond
  • Capt. Richard Wartenberg
  • First Officer Lee Truitt
  • Angela Anderson
  • Carlos Fernandez
  • Louisnes Fedon
  • Kimberly Asa
  • Trinadette “Trina” Chavez
  • Tony Crain
  • John Loucks
  • John Spray
  • Matthew Sweets
  • Ella Petty Whorton
  • Megan Washburn

Some of the victims involved worked at an auto parts supplier on the ground.

The National Safety Transportation Board has since released an investigation report, which states the left engine separated from the wing of the plane when the crash took place.
