Edmonson County road set for temporary closure

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – An Edmonson County road will be temporarily closed in December.

Wes Watt, of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3, says 1749 Wingfield Church Road in Edmonson County will close for crews to begin work on a drainage project.

KY 1749 will close between Arthur Boulevard and Ellis Cole Road (mile point 8.2).

Crews will be replacing a culvert box.

The closure will begin on December 1 and is expected to reopen by December 12.

Watt says message boards are in place to notify drivers.

Motorists should seek alternate routes during this time.
