Firefighters battle early morning house fire in Hardin County

SONORA, Ky. – Firefighters battled a house fire in Hardin County on Thursday.

The Upton Fire Department says it was dispatched to a residential fire at 15 Logsdon Lane in Sonora at approximately 4:23 am.

The home was fully engulfed in flames.

UFD says the fire spread quickly to a dumpster and a grass area, extending toward the woodline before units arrived.

Firefighters contained the fire to the property, preventing its spread.

Units were at the scene until approximately 6:58 am on Thursday.

Sonora Fire Department, Bonnieville Fire Department, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Hardin County EMS, and Nolin RECC assisted at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
