Local Boys & Girls Club chapters work to secure resources for families

ALLEN AND SIMPSON COUNTIES, Ky. – The Boys and Girls Clubs of Franklin-Simpson and Allen County-Scottsville are stepping up to make sure local children have access to nutritious meals.

The CEO of these organizations shared on Tuesday, Oct. 28 that, amid the government shutdown and effects on SNAP benefits, they are working to support families during this time.

“No family should have to worry about food security. We are here for you, and together, we’ll navigate these changes,” stated Brittany Curry, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Franklin-Simpson and Allen-County Scottsville.

This includes preparing ahead of time to secure resources and partnerships to bridge any gaps in food needs for local children, according to Curry.

If your family anticipates needing additional food support in the next month, these organizations encourage families to reach out as soon as possible. To share your needs confidentially, contact admin@bgcfranklinsimpson.org.
