Annual Trunk-or-Treat held at Preston Miller Park
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Bowling Green Parks and Recreation hosted its annual Trunk-or-Treat at Preston Miller Park on Thursday night.
Hundreds of community members came out to enjoy free candy, festive decorations, and creative costumes at the family-friendly event.
Local businesses and organizations set up decorated trunks, handed out candy, and hosted games for kids and families throughout the evening.
Parks and Recreation officials say the event not only offers a safe and fun way for families to celebrate Halloween, but also supports some of the department’s own community programs.
“Not only is it an opportunity for us to provide a really fun and safe way for our community to celebrate one of everyone’s favorite holidays, but it also brings people together and allows local businesses and organizations to represent themselves,” said Cameron Levis, Recreation Manager for the City of Bowling Green. “It also supports our local Bowling Green Special Olympics program.”
The Trunk-or-Treat is just one of several holiday-themed events Bowling Green Parks and Recreation will host through the rest of the year.
