Team Kentucky announces Caza Innovations move to Bowling Green, new podcast for Governor Beshear
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – During his Team Kentucky update, Governor Andy Beshear announced a new company coming to Bowling Green as well as a new venture he’ll be taking soon.
Caza Innovations will be investing $270,000 to create 15 new jobs by relocating its headquarters to Bowling Green. They also plan to start a research and development partnership with Western Kentucky University.
“The project is a great example of what collaboration and strategic partnerships can do. I want to thank Caza Innovations for their belief in the state and for choosing the Commonwealth as their new Kentucky home,” Governor Beshear said during the update.
This comes as Sirius XM has announced “The Andy Beshear Podcast,” a new show that will premiere on September 10th, featuring House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries as Beshear’s first guest. The governor says it’s not for democrats. In fact, it’s not even meant to be a political podcast.
“When you think about a conversation among friends, you’re going to talk about what’s going on that day, but then you’re going to talk about the next college football game or pro football game that’s coming up… the movies that you’re watching, something special that’s happened with your families… in my conversation with my friends who are on it who helped start the podcast, we talk about the two of them have just sent their first and oldest child to college and what that’s like, so I think it creates an open and a welcoming environment where hopefully people of different views and different interests can come together,” Beshear says.
With guests so far like Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank’s Mark Cuban, actor Steve Zahn, and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, just to name a few, Beshear hopes this brings a little bit of unity in troubling times.
“I think this country desperately needs to turn down the temperature and to focus more on common sense, common ground, and getting things done… and so with this platform, that’s where I want to be. That’s what I want to do. I love this country and this country needs to heal. There’s been way too much division, way too much creating an us vs them, and maybe we can take some of the things we’ve done in this state to lessen that and push it out to the rest of the country,” he says.
