Woman charged in 2024 drowning death of Logan County toddler appears in court

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Lindsay Dover appeared before a judge in Logan County for her pre-trial hearing, charged with manslaughter second degree and tampering with physical evidence after the accidental drowning of a 2-year-old whom she was babysitting.

According to Dover’s attorney, John L. Caudill, there were problems with search warrants as well as concerns stemming from officers turning on and off their body cams the day law enforcement responded to the drowning.

Caudill believes he and Dover are entitled to the interviews conducted that day being entered into evidence, not just statements given by officers. Caudill is seeking a continuance to perform his due diligence for his client.

The prosecution, however, said to Judge Joe Hendricks they disagree with a motion for continuance as they believe the case to be while “Tragic” – not complicated – saying they can establish a clear timeline in conjunction with phone records as well as ring video from a neighboring residence that allegedly shows two-year-old parker entering the neighbors yard – and drowning in a near by pond –

Judge Hendricks did not grant a motion for continuance.

The hearing ended with an order to have all motions filed by next Wednesday and return to court on August 26 at 1 p.m.
