Multi-agency active shooter training launched in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In the early morning hours of July 21, the Bowling Green Fire Department, Bowling Green Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Med Center EMS started their annual active shooter training in preparation for a terrible day befalling the community.

Speaking to training coordinators, drilling on various things throughout the year is critical to a great response from those first boots on the ground. Emphasizing communication, following procedural guidelines and overall neutralizing threats as well as caring for the injured were the big focuses today.
