Warren County Regional Jail pursues a feasibility study
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Regional Jail will soon undergo a comprehensive inspection as county officials look for solutions to long-standing issues with overcrowding and facility limitations.
During a recent fiscal court meeting, officials announced a firm has been selected to conduct an in-depth assessment of the jail — both inside and out. The findings will help guide potential upgrades and inform the county government on how best to improve inmate care and capacity.
Warren County Judge-Executive, Doug Gorman, acknowledged the jail has been a persistent concern for years. He says the fiscal court is eager to receive a clear road map outlining possible solutions — which could range from expanding the current facility to a full relocation.
Regardless of the direction taken, Gorman emphasized the county’s commitment to remaining fiscally responsible while improving conditions at the jail.
