Kentucky inmate escapes during transport in Estill County

IRVINE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is searching for an inmate that has escaped twice within nearly a month.
According to authorities, troopers were contacted just before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday by the Estill County Sheriff’s Office about an escaped inmate.
Authorities say 43-year-old Jeffrey Harrison of Lexington escaped custody while being transported at around 9:20 a.m. this morning from the Estill County Courthouse.
Last month, Harrison also escaped from the Three Forks Regional Jail in Lee County.
Harrison is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 138 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing an orange jumpsuit.
