Scottsville woman arrested following vehicle pursuit in Glasgow
GLASGOW, Ky. – A Scottsville woman is behind bars after a vehicle pursuit in Barren County.
According to a uniform citation, the Glasgow Police Department observed a vehicle traveling on West Main Street Saturday with one taillight.
Police say after activating emergency lights, the vehicle continued traveling before turning onto Veterans Outer Loop.
Authorities say the vehicle continued, reaching speeds up to 73 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. At one point, authorities say the vehicle entered the opposite lane of travel before returning to its lane.
Officers say they were able to get the vehicle to come to a stop on Happy Valley Road in Glasgow.
Police say the driver, identified as 29-year-old Chelsea Glover of Scottsville, resisted arrest before being cuffed and placed into the back of a patrol car.
Glover is charged with speeding 18 mph over the speed limit, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), failure of non-owner operator to maintain required security/insurance, first offense, no tail lamps, reckless driving and resisting arrest.
Glover remains at the Barren County Detention Center.
