Bowling Green man charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges related to a reported assault case.
According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to the Western Hills Motel on Morgantown Road at 4:45 a.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers say they spoke to a female subject with visible injuries on her body.
Police say the subject stated 41-year-old Larry Ausbrooks of Bowling Green was trying to get into her car and followed her up to her motel room, where a verbal argument became physical.
During this time, officers say the female subject stated Ausbrooks assaulted her before she escaped to another nearby room.
Authorities say the female subject was transported by EMS due to her injuries to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for treatment.
The female subject reported an additional assault by Ausbrooks on Monday morning after finding him in her vehicle again and that at one point, he would not let her leave the room, authorities say.
Police located Ausbrooks and transported him to the Warren County Regional Jail.
Ausbrooks is charged with second-degree assault (domestic violence) and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
