Black bear climbs Bell Co. home, crashes through ceiling
BELL COUNTY – A black bear was found in a home on Wednesday.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Game Warden Derick Creech says he responded to a Bell County home to a call that a black bear had entered the residence.
Creech located the black bear sitting on the stove in the kitchen.
The Bell County Sheriff’s Office assisted Creech in running the black bear through an open door.
Creech determined that the bear climbed up a ladder outside the home, pushed itself through an opening in the attic, and then fell through a ceiling an into the residence.
No injuries were reported during the investigation.
