Bowling Green Police Academy graduates Academy Class 8

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday, March 28 will be a day that the newest recruit officers at Bowling Green Police Department will remember for the rest of their lives after committing themselves to a career of public service and safety.

BGPD added six more officers to their ranks, who are all from different walks of life, between them are nine college degrees, three veterans and a teacher who are out to make a difference.

The ceremony full of family and friends was a heartwarming scene that is sure to last a lifetime.

Recruit officer Kelli Bowling was just one of Class 8, who said after the ceremony that “it’s surreal and overwhelming. I’ve wanted to be a police officer since I was 4 or 5 years old”.
