Med Center Health breaks ground on new urgent care and ER facility

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new combined center for urgent care and emergency room needs will open in March of 2026 on Lovers Lane.

In front of the Embassy hotel on 457 Lovers Lane, Med Center broke ground today on a new building alongside Intuitive Health, who has developed a model of urgent care and emergency room services in one building. This will be a first of its kind facility in the area.

Med Center board chairman Eli Jackson said this will be a great benefit to the city of Bowling Green and increase patient care while cutting down wait time.

Executive vice president and chief nursing officer Katrina Wood said the same, telling spectators today that she is most excited about the cost efficiency of the building, allowing patients to quickly know what level of care they will need.
