Empanadas BG opens storefront

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Starting out as just a food truck in the summer of 2020, things are much different in 2025.

Empanadas BG is now located on College Street after the husband and wife owners applied to move into a fitting spot. In December of 2023, the Housing Authority of Bowling Green opened up applications to set up shop in their incubator building.

The former Save-A-Lot is now serving as a newly renovated home for minority owned businesses like the Gomez family.

Juan Gomez said today that he and his wife were nervous but know that bigger opportunities are ahead.
