Teen to be tried as adult in stepfather’s shooting death

A Warren County teen will be tried as an adult in the May 5 homicide of his stepfather, Homer Boling.

Tanner Cole Perruquet, 17, was indicted Wednesday on charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence in Boling’s May 5 shooting death.

Police were called to 222 Brandywood Court May 5 for an unknown trouble call, according to the teen’s citation. When they arrived they found Boling with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the citation.

Perruquet told officers he shot his stepfather because his stepfather “hurts” his mother, according his original citation. His name was at that time redacted from the citation because juvenile records are sealed Kentucky unless the juvenile will be tried as an adult.

Perruquet is being held in the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Bowling Green. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 1 p.m. today in Warren Circuit Court.
