New mayor in Munfordville

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – Due to the departure of former mayor Annie Swift, the city council has appointed a new mayor to finish out her term.

Ricky Line has taken the office of mayor at the behest of his fellow city council members after serving on the council for eight years. Line told News 40 that he decided to run for council as just another way to continue giving back to his home town.

Line has spent 45 years in education, with 28 of those being in Hart County as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and superintendent.
