Bowling Green man accused of throwing cleaning solution on pregnant woman

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman on Sunday night.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded just after 11:30 p.m. regarding a disturbance.

Police say the caller stated Isaiah Caudill, 25, of Bowling Green “hit her and strangled her” and “poured chemicals on her.” The citation states the victim is pregnant.

The caller stated she and Caudill were in an argument when Caudill strangled her, hit her in the back of her head with a closed fist, tried to strangle her a second time and threw a bottle of cleaning liquid on her, the citation states.

Police say the caller stated some of the cleaning liquid got into her eyes and mouth.

Police say the caller’s neck was red, but no other injuries were visible. They say she had difficulty breathing, had a hoarse voice, felt dizzy and was vomiting. She was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for further evaluation.

While speaking with Caudill, police say he denied a physical fight but stated he poured soda and cleaning liquid on the victim.

Police say Caudill had a cut on his right index finger and stated “he got that from defending himself.”

Caudill was arrested and transported to the Warren County Regional Jail.

He faces charges of first-degree strangulation (non-domestic violence), fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury and possession of marijuana.
