Med Center Health sets first steel beams for new High Street Tower

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Med Center Health reached a huge milestone in the construction for its High Street Tower.

Workers from Kelley Construction set the first steel beams for the High Street Tower. The new building will serve as the new location for women and children services providing care with spaces for labor and delivery, post-partum patients and an emergency department dedicated solely to obstetrical patients.

The women and children services space will also be home to the regions only level 3 neo-natal intensive care unit or NICU. While set backs have occurred, especially with the weather we’ve experienced over the course of the past few months, the building is still on track to be completed on time.

“We’ve had some challenges with other challenges over the past few months. We were able to work through that to get our site and foundations in which led us to where we are today, the first beams being set, which is a major milestone for the project. We are currently on schedule and on track to complete this project in the summer of 2026,” said project manager Lee Carroll.

The building is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026, just in time to celebrate Med Center’s 100th anniversary.
