Man arrested after allegedly throwing knives during argument

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man is facing charges after police say he allegedly threw knives during an incident in Bowling Green.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, officers responded Wednesday shortly before 5 p.m. to the 500 block of West Main Avenue for a physical disturbance.

Police say they found a subject matching a description and identified him as 36-year-old Jesse Chiles.

Officers say Chiles stated he was in an argument that resulted in him throwing knives.

In addition, police say one of the victims stated when Chiles threw a knife, the handle struck someone in the head. The same victim stated Chiles had hit them in the face with a light punch, police say. Authorities say one female victim stated Chiles pushed her.

After receiving consent to search Chiles, police say they located a glass pipe containing residue of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Chiles was placed in custody and transported to the Warren County Regional Jail.

He is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, two counts of harassment – physical contact – no injury and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
