KSP responds to chicken-fighting event, arrests 54

DUNNVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky State Police Post 15 investigated an animal cruelty complaint in Casey County.

Fifty-four individuals are charged with second-degree cruelty to animals after an incident on Saturday morning in Dunnville.

KSP says it received a call from a person who told the agency that an organized chicken-fighting event was active at a property on Riffe Creek Road. Troopers made contact with several individuals involved in the event.

The property was shut down by troopers.
