Franklin Police Department give holiday shopping PSA
FRANKLIN, Ky. – Holiday shopping is still going strong for many Americans, and that can present a crime of opportunity if you’re not careful.
The Franklin Police Department recently posted a graphic to Facebook urging caution as you conduct your last-minute Christmas shopping detailing some tips you might want to follow as the holiday approaches.
News 40 spoke to Chief Roger Solomon who told us that locking your vehicle should be top of mind it doesn’t matter if it is at home, at the mall or at a friend’s house.
Chief Solomon also advised that valuables such as recently purchased gifts should stay out of sight, both in the car and in the house, and if you’re expecting any packages, you should try to have a neighbor pick it up for you or give specific instructions to the delivery person.
