BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Public Library is inviting former professional athlete Chris Singleton to the Capitol on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m.

According to the library, Singleton will share a “powerful message of resilience and hope, emphasizing the importance of self-worth and community.” Attendees will also have the chance to receive one of 100 free copies of his book, “Your Life Matters.”

The library also has shared the following:

“Chris Singleton is a former professional athlete who was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2017. Following the tragic loss of his mother in a racially motivated mass shooting, Chris transformed his grief into a mission to inspire others. He has since become a best-selling author and sought-after speaker, sharing his powerful message of unity and racial reconciliation with NFL and NBA teams, as well as various Fortune 500 companies across the nation. His experiences and insights resonate deeply, encouraging audiences to reflect on the importance of empathy and understanding.”

In his book, “Your Life Matters,” the library says Singleton empowers and validates Black children by reassuring them that, no matter what they hear or experience, their lives truly matter.

Admission is free, with tickets available at warrenpl.org.
