Glasgow man facing drug trafficking, handgun possession charges

GLASGOW, Ky. – A search warrant results in the arrest of a Glasgow man on drug, and gun possession charges.

Glasgow Police Public Information Officer Terry Flatt says the department executed a search warrant at a residence on Bethel Church Road on Thursday. The search warrant was for possible stolen property and firearms.

Officers at the scene located Eric Wells, 50 of Glasgow. Wells allegedly thew a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and hydrocodone pills.

The department says a handgun and digital scale were found at the scene.

Wells was arrested and is charged with Trafficking in Control Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (> OR = 2 GMS Methamphetamine) (Enhancement), Possession Drug Paraphernalia, Possession Of Handgun By Convicted Felon, Possession Of Marijuana, Trafficking In Control Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (< 10 D.U. Opiates) (Enhancement).

Wells is lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
