Horse Cave man indicted on multiple charges, including rape

HART COUNTY, Ky. – A Horse Cave man is facing multiple charges, including rape and sodomy.

According to jail records, Brian Bush, 45, of Horse Cave was taken into custody on Sept. 4 after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

An indictment states it was filed on Sept. 3, formally charging Bush with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and incest – forcible compulsion/incapable of or under 18 years of age.

The indictment document additionally states the events that led to these charges occurred between 2019 and August 5, 2024 in Hart County.

Bush was previously arrested last month on a warrant for an active EPO.

He remains at the Hart County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond. Bush is also being held on an additional $50,000 cash bond for first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer and menacing.
