KSP Post 15 investigating shooting incident in Clinton County

ALBANY, Ky. – Kentucky State Police Post 15 is investigating a shooting.

Police say that on August 24 at approximately 11:30 am, they responded to a call to assist investigating a shooting incident.

Troopers and detectives traveled to a residence located at Wolf River Dock in Clinton County at the request of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.

The preliminary investigation says Wesley Russell, 51 of Albany, and his wife Mary Russell, 48 of Albany, were in a domestic incident.

Police found Wesley Russell with multiple gunshot wounds. Russell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner’s Office.

Mary Russell was transported to the Clinton County Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
