Local organization asks for community’s help to find stolen trailer
WOODBURN, Ky. – A local nonprofit is asking the community for help in searching for a missing trailer.
You can see pictures of that trailer above, which belongs to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a group that provides beds to undeserved children in the community.
The trailer was parked at a warehouse in Woodburn, when it was stolen, causing nearly $15,000 in losses, including tools used to make the beds and the trailer itself.
The organization is now asking for you to be on the lookout for any trailers that aren’t familiar to you if they’re in your neigborhoods.
“Unfortunately, we didn’t have a license plate on this trailer, and we can’t find the paperwork with the VIN number, but if you see one you’re not used to seeing at someone’s house or in a lot… it’s possible that the Simpson County Sheriff might be able to help locate that and see if we can get that back,” Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bowling Green’s Chapter President Scott Duvall says.
The warehouse is located on Hardison Road in the Tri-County Transpark area on the Simpson County side… so if you live near that area, Duvall asks you to be on the lookout, and if you see anything, contact the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office.
