Attorney General Russell Coleman addresses child exploitation in the commonwealth

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Child exploitation is something many people hope to never talk about, but it’s a dangerously real part of our community.

Attorney General Russell Coleman made a stop in Kenton County to address this very issue.

Coleman was joined by those who have advocated in the fight against child exploitation in the commonwealth, including those who passed House Bill 207, which gave law enforcement and prosecutors new tools to stop predators.

Coleman says he’s confident in this group and the progress being made to fight this dangerous crime in Kentucky.

“Protecting Kentucky’s children from exploitation is the job… one of the core priorities of the attorney general’s office… but as long as we have men and women of this caliber that are willing to fight in Frankfort or across our commonwealth, I could not be more optimistic about us pushing back and protecting our kids,” he says.

House Bill 207 also banned the possession of child sex dolls and AI generated materials.

Coleman also mentions making sure to monitor your kids phone usage, because you can lock your doors, have a home security system & feel safe… but if your kids are chatting with random strangers online, you are “throwing the doors of your home open to the world.”
